Natatorium Policies
- Children under the age of 14 or non-swimmers shall not use the pool unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Anyone who has had diarrhea in the past two (2) weeks shall not use the pool.
- Anyone who has an area of exposed subepidermal tissues (open blisters, cuts, etc.) is advised not to use the pool.
- All persons shall take a cleansing shower before entering the pool including after using the toilet.
- Spitting, spouting of water, blowing of nose, and similar behavior in the pool is prohibited.
- No rough play or running is permitted in the pool, on the deck, floats, platforms, dressing rooms, or showers.
- Street clothes are not permitted in the pool.
- All diaper-aged children shall use swim diapers.
- All diapers must be changed in the locker room or the family changing room.

1) No substitutions are permitted and no refunds are issued except in cases where the student is sick or injured.
2) Any refund issued will have a $10.00 administration fee deducted.
3) The IU Indianapolis Sport Complex reserves the right to change the schedule of classes, prices, or cancel any program due to lack of registration.
4) If the Sport Complex cancels a session (approximately 4 classes) a full refund will be
issued.
5) If the Sport Complex cancels a single class, due to unanticipated circumstances, a refund will be issued.
6) There are no make-up classes or sessions available.
What is deck changing?
Deck Changing is in part or in whole, into or out of a swim suit in an area other than a permanent or temporary locker room, bathroom, changing room, or other space designated for changing purposes while at practice, competition, or other pool-related activity.
Deck changing is prohibited on the deck or in the stands.
Please see a supervisor if there are any questions about finding a space to change.
- Jaguar Swim School registration price includes one parking pass per swimmer for the month. Permits may be used on multiple vehicles, but only one vehicle can be on site at one time.
- If a parking pass is lost, you may buy an additional parking pass in the ProShop for $15.
- If a parking pass is forgotten, patrons are responsible for paying for that day's parking fees.
Jaguar Swim School requires your swimmer to utilize a swim diaper if a swimmer is not fully potty trained. Jaguar Swim School does not offer swim diapers on site.
Please see our schedule at the bottom of the HOME(link) page. Registration opens the first Monday of the previous month at 8:00 am unless that Monday is a holiday and closes on the last Monday of the month or when lessons sell out, whichever comes first.
Jaguar Swim School utilizes a base price per lesson model, as the number of weeks in each monthly session may change. Below you will find the base price per lesson for each type of class Jaguar Swim School offers. Please see the specific class listing or registration page for final prices for each month.
Infant Water Adjustment (6 months - 23 months) $20/class
Toddler Water Adjustment (2-4 years) $21/class
Children’s Learn to Swim
- $33/Class - Private
- $22/class/person - SEMI-PRIVATE, you must register BOTH participants. Jaguar Swim School does not pair patrons.
Adult Learn to Swim
- $33/Class - Private
- $22/class/person - SEMI-PRIVATE, you must register BOTH participants. Jaguar Swim School does not pair patrons.
- $15/class - GROUP
- Jaguar Swim School requires that patrons bring their own suit and towel. It is recommended to bring your own goggles, but Jaguar Swim School will have extras. Please do not bring any life jackets, puddle jumpers, or floatation devices.
- Swimmers may bring their own cap, kickboard, fins, snorkel, etc. Instructors will determine if the equipment brought will be utilized during the class.
- Please park in the IU Natatorium Sports Garage Visitor Section.
- On the first day of class, you will take a ticket and leave that in your car.
- Upon arrival, please head to the ProShop to receive your parking pass for the month.
- Upon exit, you will scan the pass out!
Jaguar Swim School strives to offer consistent instruction for your scheduled swim class. However, sometimes this may change due to sickness, vacation, or general availability change. All of our instructors are equally equipped to teach your child how to be water safe and technically sound!
The short answer is yes! Safe swimming begins with students being confident under the water. Even if your swimmer is nervous, we encourage you to cheer them on! Most begin to feel comfortable after a few lessons.
Yes, Jaguar Swim School offers bleacher seating in the pool area with a full view of our teaching pool. We ask that parents remain in the seating area to allow minimal interruptions during the lesson. Instructors may call parents over at the end for a show and tell!
Jaguar Swim School swim instructors complete 40+ hours of in-classroom and in-water training as well as certifications through SwimAmerica. Instructors continue to be evaluated regularly and participate in monthly training sessions to ensure that your child is in the absolute safest environment.
